MMS Students Participate in GEMS Conference at Somerset Community College

GEMS

 

The conference was geared toward a fun-filled, educational day for eighth grade girls who have expressed an interest in math, science, engineering, information technology, and health-related fields.  The instructors, who provided the hands-on workshops, are all industry professionals who have a passion for their field of study and who want to encourage others to pursue similar college degrees.  Students participated in hands-on workshops in the following areas: Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Health Science, Virtual Reality Technology and Forensic Science.  The students representing Meece Middle School (from left to right) first row: Gracie Burgess, Kaylee Wesley and Leo Fisher (left to right) middle row: Grace Thompson and Mary Beth Hawk (left to right) back row: Emme Goforth and Abigail Bowers.
