This years school play was "How To Train A Reindeer to Fly" presented by the entire 3rd Grade Class. It was written by Teresa Jennings and Karl Hitzemann, adapted and edited by Mrs. Tarter and Mr. Holmes. The play centered around three ideas:
Learning is the Key!
If you believe then you can achieve.
Treat each other with kindness.
The stage director was Mrs. Tarter and the music director Mr. Holmes.
There were some cameo spots for the principal, Mr. Reynolds and assistant principal Mr. Ham.
Songs performed were:
School of Reindeer, Reindeer Zone, Blitzen Boogie, Hip Hop Reindeer and We Are Santa's Elves.
Each song used a different style of music such as Boogie Woogie, Hip Hop, Pop Rock and Theatrical.
At the conclusion of the play there was a reading of "Twas the Night Before Christmas"....read by a very special guest reader and a short sing-along.
