CPR Training

Sixth Grade Students Receive CPR Training

In addition to instruction on how to do CPR, the students also learned how to check for responsiveness, locate a carotid pulse and the importance of contacting 911.  The second part of the training involved students learning how to clear an airway of a choking victim using the Heimlich maneuver for both adults, children and infants.   Students were encouraged that their efforts could make a difference in the outcome of a life of an individual.  We would like to offer a special thanks to Somerset/ Pulaski County EMS for providing this annual training for our students at Meece Middle School.
