MMS Students Visit Space Camp

MMS Students Visit Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama

During their time at Space Camp, students took part in a simulated Space Shuttle mission to the International Space Station.  The mission included a spacewalk, Extravehicular Activity (E.V.A.) by two Meece astronauts, and a variety of science experiments on the International Space Station.  Students were controlling everything from mission control.  Students were also able to train in several of N.A.S.A. simulators during their time at Space Camp.  Mr. Scott Dunn, sixth grade science teacher stated that out of all of the trips to Space Camp in the past twenty-four years, this was the best.  Students pictured (from left to right), Chandler Edwards, Zachary Crawford, Jailynne McClendon, Madison Ruble, Emily Ashlock and Michaela Harmon.
