Red Ribbon Week at MMS

Red Ribbon Poster Contest Winners

 

Monday – our students took a pledge to remain drug free & received a free pair of ear buds with the YOLO (You Only Live Once) Be Drug Free.  Student also were their pajamas to school.

 

Tuesday – Be a hero – students were encouraged to wear super hero clothes.

 

Wednesday – Wear red day – students were encouraged to wear red.  7th grade won a grade level contest for wearing the most red.

 

Thursday – Camo day – students were encouraged to wear camo clothing.  Our 5th grade students listened to a Drug Free Presentation by the High School Project Purple Group. 

 

Friday – Hawaiian day – students were encouraged to wear Hawaiian clothes.  Melissa Dye with Project Daris spoke with 6th, 7th and 8th graders.  Madison Cornett from Somerset High School also shared her story about the importance of being drug-free. 

 

 

There was also a Drug Free Poster Contest:  winners were 5th grade – Mary Beth Hawk, 6th grade – Lucas Walters, 7th grade – Grace Fuller and 8th grade – Kiana Newell
