Any junior or senior interested in taking IS/ICT 200 Information Literacy and Critical Thinking or CLD 102 The Dynamics of Rural Social Life at SHS next semester through the UK Next Generation Scholars program must come to the SHS Counseling Office by next Wed, Nov 18 to get paperwork (if criteria is met).
IS/ICT 200 provides an introduction to the concepts and practices of information literacy. It explores how to effectively and ethically find, evaluate, analyze and use information resources in academic and everyday-life situations. It is offered during second period.
CLD 102 introduces major concepts of sociology by exploring social, political and cultural issues confronting rural society and American agriculture, such as: population change, industrialization, energy developments and agricultural change. Students may not receive credit for both this course and SOC 101. It is being offered during fourth period.
