Updated District COVID-19 School Operations Plan

As of January 10, 2022, Somerset Independent Schools updated the COVID-19 School Operations Plan.  The quarantine and isolation procedures have been updated to follow new guidance from the CDC, Kentucky Department of Public Health and the Kentucky Department of Education.  The changes include the quarantine and isolation changing to 5 days and allowing close contacts, both at school and home, to use the Test to Stay Program.  The Test to Stay Program is for Somerset students or staff who have been exposed to COVID-19 and are not up-to-date for vaccinations.  The following links provide more information about procedures and the operation plan:

"Bassin for Kids" - Max Yeast Max

Max Yeast, a junior at Somerset High School selected the Youth Service Center as his charity for funds raised during his “Bassin for Kids” Fishing Tournament.  Max planned, organized and implemented a fishing tournament for his Rogers Scholars Community Service Project.  The Youth Service Center used the donated funds to purchase Christmas gifts for students who other wise would not receive any gifts.
