Somerset Covid-19 School Operations Plan

Somerset Independent School Board met today, September 16th, to adopt the district’s Covid-19 School Operations Plan.  The plan states that masks will continue to be required for all students, employees and school visitors through October 15th.  Masks will be required on any school bus, as well. School district officials will evaluate the local conditions surrounding COVID-19 and finalize plans for the use of face masks inside school buildings on October 14th.  Any change in mask plans will be communicated by October 15, 2021.  To see the full plan, please click the following link: Somerset Covid-19 School Operations Plan

KCHIP

With schools back in session, it’s more important than ever for all students to have health care coverage. KCHIP can help. The Kentucky Children’s Health Insurance Program provides free health insurance for anyone under 19 in low-to-moderately-low-income households. So, if your child (or a child you know) needs health care coverage, please look into KCHIP. It covers practically everything. And it’s free. To learn about qualifications and how to apply, simply go to kynect.ky.gov/kchip or call (877) 524-4718.
