The Love on a Leash Program also brought some therapy dogs to the literacy night so that the students had an opportunity to visit with them and read their favorite stories to the dogs. Prizes were awarded for attendance and for over-all reading.
Following the theme of the Book Fair, students also participated in dress-up days at school. On Monday, students celebrated our Stone Age Book Fair by wearing gray and jeans; on Tuesday, students dressed up like a book character; on Wednesday, students dressed up like a Flintstones character; on Thursday, students wore gray sweat pants and hoodies, and on Friday students showed Jumper Pride by wearing purple and gold. We would like to thank the parents for encouraging their child to read at least 20 minutes per night.
