Somerset Independent School District is located in southern Kentucky near Lake Cumberland.  Our district is one rich in tradition, serving students from Preschool through grade 12.  Hopkins Elementary serves students in grades PS-4, Meece Middle serves grades 5-8, and Somerset High School serves students in grades 9-12.  Our Central Office has been designated an EKU Off-Campus Site where college classes are offered through EKU.  These classes are available to adults and are free of charge to our students. 

If you are new to the community, or have not visited our schools recently, we invite you to stop in and see how we are preparing our students for the 21st Century.

School will be in session on February 15th and March 19th to make up the two snow days missed.
